Inspiration from the Pain

There have been a few slow days at work here... so I have had a little time to design a bit. I actually got a bit of (granted morbid) inspiration from a post on a wonderful facebook group I am in. The person made a quilt square for her cat who passed away. I have recently had to deal with such heart ache and it inspired me to crate my own. I hope to make one for each of my furry friends who have passes one. Right now I will show you the two I have gotten some work done on:

Dot RIP 201?-2017

Mesha 201?-2018
They are still works in progress. I think I may try and find a different picture of Mesha to work from that might read a little easier in quilt form. Working on them was pretty emotional for me, well, more emotional that I thought it would be. I miss them both very much. I hope to add my other four childhood cats to the mix some day, but that will probably mean I will have to scan some pictures in. Who knows, maybe this could be a service I could offer? Do you think anyone would be interested in that?

On a brighter note, I have started to work on a tattoo inspired design. That means I am actually going to have to get off my butt and start up my actually for real business side of things soon. I like that the banner can be customized to say what ever you like. I might try a version where the heart is a bit more three dimensional. Maybe the banner too. We'll see.
