Second Update on My Crazy Quilt

Image
Here are the next 15 blocks for my crazy quilt. I also made a decision to space them out with some solid blocks when I have enough fabric to do so. I am still on the fence if I should do sashing or not. I'm kinda proud at how some of these have a lot of little bits in them, which isn't something I've done before. I love the idea of using my scraps to make something new! I've also noticed a lack of blue in my stash for some reason.

Details of the First 10 Blocks

No much to say... just showing off the first ten blocks. I think my love of Halloween fabrics is showing through....

I got bored...

So, I was sewing some pillow shams for another crocheting project but when I got done, I wanted to sew some more. I don't really have any sewing projects in my upstairs sewing room, so I just grabbed some scraps and started basically 'paper piecing' without any paper or plan. I made three blocks on my 100 year old machine! (my newer one isn't powered at the moment... the whole rooms electrical is on the fritz). I know the picture isn't the greatest quality. Sorry.

Lots of Updates

I'll try to keep this short, but there are quite a few new things up on the site! First off, I edited the layout (at least if you are not on mobile) so that there isnt as much scrolling involved when searching for a pattern. The pictures are a little bit smaller now, but I think it easier to navigate. Second, I've put up Jacques LaLean and Ginger the Tap Dancing Spider up for the Beetlejuice cartoon blocks. They have a bit more embroidery/outlining than a lot of my other designs (particularly Ginger), but I think that is because of the way they are drawn (ie cartoon). I tried to make them without so much, and they just didn't look right. Also, I put up a Pumpkin from The Nightmare Before Christmas. I based the pattern on a restoration of an actual set piece, so it is pretty darn authentic! It is also a pretty intricate pattern, so if you want a challenge, feel free to try it. You can thank Burton's hate of straight lines for that! It is up for testing, so a...

I'm on a roll!

Let's keep this pattern train rolling with a brand new pattern! Jack is up and ready for everyone to use! The only little bit I wish I could change is being able to use an actual pinstripe texture for the suit bits, but Quilting Assistant does not allow for patterns. Oh well.

Sally...again!

Image
Thank you so much to my wonderfully generous tester who quickly put together my Sally pattern. They suggested a little edit to make the whole thing come together easier, which I have done and put the -new and improved- pattern up on the website. Fiddly bit - BE GONE! I also submitted her to Fandom-in-Stitches . Thank you, again, Sharon! I put these images up in the gallery as well.
